Last summer I planted a new garden at the edge of some maples and bordering
a small goldfish pond. I went around buying different ligularias and planted
what I thought were five different ones. I included various hosta, a blue
clematis and an ornamental rhubarb in the back, some Black Beauty lilies,
Siberian Iris, and a cimicifuga "Brunette". Seemed like a nice mix of
heights, colors and textures; this summer it looked great.
However, a visitor mentioned that my one giant, unnamed ligularia was really
Inula. I've tried to find some pictures of any Inulas to figure this out but
haven't been successful. Can anyone help me on this?
