Well, Bobbi, the skinny that I read on Peony list is that the
original farm's soil got depleted so it was decided to move and that
was sold to developers, plus Roy Klehm lived 3 hours from the old
farm, which was a problem...he's now about 45 minutes away from the
new one in Avalon, Wisconsin. Song Sparrow Nursery is the new name
for the business, which, according to the poster, is an attempt by
the Klehm brothers to differentiate various aspects of the family
business....Song Sparrow will have all retail and wholesale perennial
sales. Beaver Creek wasn't mentioned in that post - which I saved,
so I would remember the new name:-)...so I know nothing about it.
Poster said all mailorder sales will come out of Wisconsin from now
on. Could be that they are moving into wholesale woody plants with
Beaver Creek?
Upshot is that there isn't a Klehm's Nursery anymore...it's now Song
Sparrow Nursery.
