Hello sally,
I am not familiar with the Chaenomeles contorta, but I do have a couple of
Quence on the property. I consider them important as they bloom so early
ion the season and provide nourishment for the first arrivals of
hummingbirds. I have one old "Japonica" that was here when I purchased the
property and another which is a dwarf white blooming shrub. To the best of
my knowledge all Quence prefer full sun but will take a bit of shade. Bloom
is best in full sun. The Contorted Quence sounds interesting. Can you tell
me more about it?
The back page of my hard copy catalog has a map on how to locate the
nursery. If you like I can send you one so you can easily find me if and
when you get pointed in this direction. Just send me you postal address off
line.
