Lavender

Yesterday, I spent about five hours in my yard, planting bulbs, raking and
shredding leaves, moving plants.  It was a glorious day, sunshine and in the
mid 60's.

My question is about the lavender I cut.  How can I use it in my potpourri?
Do I have to dry it first?  How do I dry it?  Any and all help is
appreciated!
