Hi Gene,
The area not very large, maybe 50ft. by 30ft., but it's the only place I've
got that has any amount of shade. I hope to somehow screen it off to create
a secluded area, but my sense of design is almost nonexistent.
The only thing at ground level that I felt was worth saving was some of the
native salal (Gaultheria shallon). I like its evergreen folaige and berries
but it's such a rampant grower that I'm not sure how it's going to work out.
I'm afraid any wildflowers that were ever there were long ago choked out by
the briars and salal.
I,ve got a few ideas rattling around in my head, and although I haven't got
a clear plan yet, I think it will come. Brad
