Is this book a-z Clyde the one that comes with a cd rom that I might
have seen in a book store? colored pics? it was on sale and I thought,
hmmm, could it be a good reference instead of the money out for
hortus, but then upon looking two or three things up, I couldn't find
them, so- didn't get it.

There are two that rather look alike. The one I have is The Encyclopaedia of
Garden Plants which is much like HortusIII. The other, as I recall, is an
encyclo. of gardening. The one I got has all the recent name changes which can
easily be overlooked. For example, on p. 1017, one might be searching for the
Genus Tovara.
There is a small-lettered entry which reads: See Persicaria.
A better buy, imo, is INDEX OF GARDEN PLANTS (ROYAL HORT. SOC. 1994). Retail
price is $59.95.
