Hortus III can be purchased from Barnes and Noble for 39.95 in a two volume,
softcover set which is boxed. If your B&N does not have this they can order
it as B&N own the reprint rights to Hortus III. I believe the original
publisher was MacMillan who has stated that there will be no Hortus IV because
sales do not justify the expense of revision.

If the English "Index of Garden Plants" is superior, and I do see it quoted
now and then, the American Hortus is still the reference most used. At well
over 100.00 in hardcover plus being over 20 years in publication, it is not
surprising that Hortus is not selling briskly.
