Ok, I have a question or two. If Hydrangea macrophylla "Nikko Blue"
blooms off of old wood, why is it not a spring blooming plant instead of
summer into fall blooming? Why does it (mine) bloom off of new growth
(green stems) and not the old (brown) stems and continues to bloom even
after cutting back? And finally why is mine blooming at all, when it
was hit by a very late and hard frost that took out all of my other
spring blooming perennials, including the daffodills and forsythia?
