Hydrangea Nikko Blue blooms from 1 yr old stems. It is importants to protect
buds over the winter, as these will bloom the following summer. Protection
may be achieved by mounting soil over the base of the plant and or mounting
much and a collar over it make sure these do not blow away.
Hydrangea Nikko Blue is adequately hardy in Zone 4.
