Thanks, Gary and Jack.  When you say the buds are starting to swell, do you
mean the buds at the base of the plant that will produce new shoots?  Right
now I have nothing showing above ground.

The 'Paul's Glory' hosta I bought from you guys, which was the biggest
hosta plant I have ever received in the mail, made a nice clump--then
suddenly wilted this summer.  Vole attack from below!  I dug it up and
potted it in a container and behold, it came back.  I've now replanted it
in a safer place.
