I just love them. The way they stand so proud and strong on thin red
stems. The early spring colours and the delicate flowers. Ohhh, they are
just lovely. Get some - you will not regret it.

Last Saturday we had epimedium guru, Darrell Probst, at a rock garden
meeting. In his catalog are some epimediums I sort of liked. I have not
been fond of this plant. He brought two plants not sold in this country, for
auction, and both went for healthy prices.

Here is the website for Darrell's business: <
home.earthlink.net/~darellpro >

His e-mail is < darrellpro@earthlink.net >

There are many unusual and rare forms in his catalog. Bear in mind that this
is a one man operation and patience is needed. He also propagates some
irises, primula, etc.

A bargain in Darrell's catalog is a six plant collection for $35.00. These
are rare plants. If you need to talk with Mr. Probst, try e-mail and do so
in the winter months when it is easier for nurserymen. He is an engaging
fellow, overworked as most small nurseries.
