Re: Dividing primulas


Gail,

In your zone, I'd wait until early spring.  Seems to me you get early
winter and pretty hard winters, too.  In my area, you can divide
Primula in fall, but I have to have milder winters than you...I'd be
concerned that it wouldn't have time to make much root growth and
would get frost heaved.  My ground doesn't think about freezing until
mid or late November here.
