Re: Fall Fertilizer?


Interesting Paul, I've never fertilized a perennial in fall - seldom
feed them in the ground any other time of year, either....just keep
them mulched.  Of course, initial soil prep. is generally good and I
do add composted manure at that time in many cases...sometimes not,
tho'.

I've always felt that feeding plants growing in the ground promoted
over lush growth that enticed insects and encourage stuff to
flop....lean and mean has always been my mantra for stuff in the
ground...plants in pots are a whole 'nother story.

So, how many of you guys fertilize your beds and borders on a regular
basis??
