Hello Cyan,
I can help with one of the below through personal experience. The
Pulsatilla is related to the anemone family. They are native to the western
part of the US, Europe and some of Asia. Quite lovely and a wide variation
of foliage and flowers. There are also quite a few hybrids out there to
play with in the garden. They have a log root when mature so enjoy well
drained soil. Give yours - Pulsatilla vulgaris - as much light as you can
without placing it in full sun. They are quite hardy, bloom early and will
take light frost in bloom.
I am not familiar with the cultivar you purchased, but there are white,
red and lavender - blue in the vulgaris along with double forms, cut petal
forms and a mix of the two. Easy enough from fresh seed and bloom the third
year. Bloom shape can be from a cup to a trumpet. Foliage is cut and lacy.
Some have hairy foliage in white looking as though they had been frosted. I
think you will be pleased with your purchase.
The other two I would just be quoting a book since I do not personally
grow them in my garden. I know others are familiar with them. If, not I can
quote for you.
