Hello Gene,
Yes, I pretty much decided to start planting a few items now....don't know
what, but I'm heading out today to tour the nurseries and see whats
available locally, the balance will wait for those dreary winter days,
reading catalogues, planning and ordering!
I never realized the vast choice of plants available for such a situation,
and what I initially thought would be a humdrum project, is turning out to
be quite an adventure. And you're absolutely right...what does well in my
neighbors garden may not be the plant of choice in mine! But thats o.k.,
part of the fun of gardening ( at least if you know when to give up
trying..2,3, maybe 4 times)
So, off I go, with a list of all suggestions made, an empty van , and a
cheque book.
But keep those ideas coming...I have a large area to fill and love to
collect plants!
Thanks again everyone
Barbara
