Hi Clyde
If you use TRIOX, be aware that it has a very long residual effect in
the soil and it can remain active for at least one year.     It  will
most likely kill whatever you plant there as well as what ever the spray
lands on. I would recommend that for the erradication of such things
like creeping ground covers that you use spray it with a mix of Round up
concentrate and Trimec concentrate at a mixture of 3 oz of Round up and
1 oz of Trimec per gal. of water.
Let the chemicals work they will kill whatever is exposed above the soil
and  whats below in about a couple of weeks.
Now is a very good time to spray since the energy  is mostly going down
the stems and to the rhizomes for next years growth and the chemicals
will translocate down along with them. After using these two chemicals
you should wait at least 30 days before replanting.
