I find all the comments about Houttonia interesting.  Here in
Michigan, my academic adviror and I find it difficult to keep
alive let alone having it spread like a weed!  I kept mine
planted in a pot set in a shallow containerized bog garden.  This
was the only way it doesn't shrivel up and die for me.
