Hi, Claire. That storage root story gives me the creeps, but I'm going to
dig around in the back and see if there might be one down there.
Your comment about horsetail reminds me that two years ago, on the advice
of a fellow on another robin who should have known better, I planted dwarf
equisetum, believing it was not invasive. It may not be as bad as its
giant relative, but it is quite a pest and I have given up on controlling
it - and it is not even planted under conditions anywhere near ideal for
its species.
