Hi, Claire:

I think that I didn't proof the post well.  That should be "garden
path"...that leads to a shade garden of hosta, rhodies, and some dwarf
conifers.  I plan to turn this shade garden into a small Japanese garden
beginning this fall.

I thought the pleached trees would be very different and add an element of
curiosity.
