Many thanks to Cindy Johnson, Gene Bush, Paul Henjum and John Adney for
your encouraging advice on planting ferns in the fall (and under silver
maples. ) My current plan is to plant lots of ferns now, but put some
other plants under the silver maples.
John A -it may be a trash tree but compared to the box elders that used
to surround my house its the queen of trash.
