To the best of my recollection, it wasn't I (me?), unless it was much
earlier in the year, although my astilbes do look dreadful owing to the
lateness of the season and the severity of our lengthy drought, now
approaching 3 months without rain. Of course, just about everything else
in the garden also looks dreadful. My feeling, however, is that no
fertilizing whatsoever should be done this late in the growing season.
Would all agree with me, or are there exceptions?
