I would think pulmonarias would work, and hostas love water.  I even tried to
grow a hosta as a water plant this year.  It eventually looked ragged, but it
took a long time.  There's good ole' houttonia, but maybe you don't want to
go there.  The giant Ajuga might be a nice foliage interest.  Creeping jenny
will take a lot of water.

I'm looking for recommendations for
shade-loving plants that can stand periodic flooding in a bed that would be
dry if I didn't water it in the summer (i.e., it is by no means a "moist"
area).
