Re: Rubber Tree

Bobbi:

I don't have a rubber tree that old by I grow a jade plant that's 38 years
old. This gnarly looking oldtimer is a family heirloom!

Regarding the rubber tree: why not root midway or so up the stem and create
a new plant? Take some spag. moss, moistened, and wrap it around the stem
(trunk) and enclose it in plastic. Use a rubber band or two to hold the moss
and plastic tightly. It should root in several weeks or so and you'll have a
nice plant in which you can claim continuity.
