Hello Peter,
You can grow a few of the Toadlilies that I can not.. along with the beauty
described by Kemberly down in Texas. Some of what I have had success with in the
garden for some time is as follows:
June & July, T. latifolia in yellow blooms with brown freckles.
July into August, T. dilantum (misspelled) light pink on white blooms
Sept.. T. stolonifera.. tall one to 4 feet and lavender-purple spotted
Sept .. all the hirta and hybrids from hirta.
also T. affinis "Miyazaki"... a favorite for arching habit and heavy blooms.
T. nana is my favorite. Only 6 inches in height, clear yellow bloom aging to brown
freckles. Bright green foliage. Real sweetie.
Also like the following so far in hybrids
T. White Towers
T. Varigata
T. Golden Gleam with bright green-gold foliage
Six or eight more out in the garden I am trying but they are only a couple of
years old now. Too soon to tell much of a story.
I carry all of the above either in the catalog or the display area here to be
added to the catalog in 2000.
