Since I am retiring at the end of this year, I am going through my email at
work, clearing out old files and messages. I came across a question I sent out
some time ago and have never found a satisfactory answer to: I am looking for a
small shrub called Cassiope. According the the AHS Encyclopedia of Plants, it
is a small, acid-loving shrub with pinkish bell-shaped flowers in the Heath
family. It looks so pretty and would be perfect for my shady rock garden.
Unfortunately, I have had no luck locating a source. Evidently the Bayport
Plant Farm in Halifax has them but will not mail to the United States. (I
actually sent in an order to them after getting their plant list, but never
heard another word from them.)
Does anyone on this list know of a way to find this wonderful-sounding plant?
