Re: Syntax for cultivar designations

As author of the Siberian Check List, decisions had to
be made just how to enter names. I'm a great one for
asking for ideas from others, and used ideas from many
people, especially Jean Witt for help on the species,
and Ben Hager on information in general, along with help
on species crosses from Bob Hollingworth. Jennifer
Hewitt was another advisor, and our goal was to list the
most accurate information in the most legible format.
hat we came up with pleased Ben Hager so much, he asked
that the AIS Checklists be in the same format. Capital
letters in bold print gives the easiest reading format
in my estimation.

If others wish to add their viewpoints to future
printing, I always have an ear open for different
ideas. Some have asked for my data base I started with
or so years ago, but unfortunately the program (filepro)
won't work in windows.

A friend worked on my old IBM PS/1, and supposedly has
it working again, so when it is returned to me, I'll
attempt to run an ASKII file, and pass it on via E-
Mail. Currently I keep it in Microsoft Word Format, and
have sent copies to Lithuania and Canada. If others
desire copies, contact me by personal E-Mail at:
