Why on earth be sorry?!! Daylilies are commonly registered as dormant or
evergreen, hardy or a challenge.
I'd love to see notations listed with irises as to how they do in different
growing conditions. Some really shouldn't be let out of their own area and
others can adapt to just about anything.
After having a couple of pricey things bomb here, it's unlikely I'll try
them again for a while even though they get raves from those that post
about them.
I've even found that a few seedlings of mine are hard dormants and wouldn't
dare send them off without a warning to anyone in a climate that doesn't
get a good chill over the winter.
Don't think of it as knocking the hybridizer.... Think of it as an honest
critique of the plant itself.
