Hi Laurie,
Most of my SIBS are not showing any green either. More
importantly is the usual bloom period of the plants. VI LIUHN
and KING OF KINGS are both registered as Medium-Late. CAMBRIDGE
is registered as Medium.
I planted three SIBS for my sister-in-law near here and she
asked me to look at them for her thinking they were 'dead'. She
was going to dig them up! There were MESA PEARL (one of the
latest to bloom for me), its sibling SPRINKLES and LEE'S BLUE
(registered as M). These are all Coble/Bauer SIs and bloom late
for me. I said not to worry and just do the three w's: water,
wait and watch. The brown will turn green.
Laurie, you are a fellow Zone 3er...SIBS love our wintry weather
so to lose a SIB would be rare. I think I lost one out of the
hundreds I have grown. It was ERIC THE RED..an oldie but it
arrived here half-dead and it never took hold.
