Miss Duluth

For a good ten years now I have noticed that Miss Duluth blooms oddly;
or rather "stems" oddly, as do any chance seedlings, and I don't
remember this from the original planting. What happens is the stems
start up quite normally, then take a dip, turns around and go back up
again, like the "trap" in a drain pipe under the sink. It's the only
siberian I have that does this, along with its seedlings, and I'm
wondering if it's something cultural that I'm doing or not doing. I'm
ready to throw it out because it's truly not attractive. Can anyone
enlighten me?
Thank you!

Wilton, CT zone 6, the new growth is up about two inches and the deer
have already eaten all the daylily foliage to the ground.
