Siberians grow OK in clay soil but you may not have planted them deep enough.
The rhizomes should be planted 2-3" deep depending on what climate zone you
live in. You could add on top of them some soil or cowconure which would
improve the soil and even work as a mulch when the soil dries out. anna mae
