Me either...I have grown tet. HIGH STANDARDS to a height of 48" one year and

Really tall diploids in our garden this year were SHAKER'S PRAYER at
almost my height (I am 5'3") and first year plant SALAMANDER'S CROSSING (to
my nose) and I. sanguinea Kamayama almost the same height of SALAMANDER. The
seed pods of both look like buds of giant flowers in the same bed.
I like tall Siberians whether dip. or tet. They grow so tall in the real
cold climes.
Oh - is anybody else still waiting for the Siberians we bid on at the
auction at the Iowa convention? If mine aren't in the ground by Aug.
15th, it may bode trouble with the plants not being established by the
first frost. I did plant a TB last Labor Day to test the conventional
wisdom..it was a bonus plant...it is now dead. It didn't make it through the
spring rains here in the latter part of April and May. There was also frost
in April that contributed to its demise. I prefer not to make a test run
with Siberians.
