Hi folks,
I have a border planned in the winter when leaves were down, and planted
in April, before it became clear that there was a lot more shade than I had
figured on. Some Siberians that do OK there are: Annick, Snow Prince,
Little Blue Sparkler, Lady Vanessa, Sibirica Schwan, Prairie Warbler, and
Lorena Cronin, also I. setosa. Some that have not done well are: White
Triangles, Ann Dasch, Pleasures of May, Springs Brook, Maggie Smith, and I.
Chrysographes hyb. From this list it might look like those closer to the
species do better, but that may be just my luck.
I'm not recommending shade for these irises, just reporting limited success.
