I have already apologized to Janis for making her post about
water gardens and Sibs. tardy by not approving her post in a
timely fashion. I have changed the way for first posts from
members.
Rather than send out a 'questionnaire' that some found too
intrusive, we have an open membership but I approve the first
postings to the list. However, I didn't check for a week (!) and
Janis tried to send her post three times where they were waiting
for me in the pending message file. She is now approved to send
posts without moderation.
The moderation review is necessary to weed out the crackpots who
latch onto mailing lists and gum up the works with spam.
