Dunlop seedling

Hi Christy,

Thanks for the nice compliment on the seedling inside the back cover
of TSI. I agree this lovely yellow white tetraploid near amoena has
a nice balance of features and colors with excellent ruffling. I
really like yellows. This one is my seedling # 98345-1, a cross of
Harpswell Moonlight X Harpswell Chanteuse, and certainly worth
working with. The family had 8 other siblings which "also ran". I'm
on the fence but leaning away from registering this for introduction
because the falls are a little narrow. Yes, we are quite
discriminating in our evaluations.

Dean Cole believes he has converted crosses of some of Marty's
wonderful yellow diploids, which along with Currier's stock and mine,
should be a big help in yellow tet breeding. Dean and I have sent 4
guest seedlings each to Chad Harris for the 2006 Conventions in
Portland, including a short colorfast yellow of mine, all of which
you may like to see growing if you get the chance. It is likely we
will name and introduce these prior to the event and make them
available through Dunlop and Cole beginning in 2005. Color
advertising is anticipated in the spring 2005 issue of TSI for the
initial introductions.

Thanks again for the compliment; you should see the blue flower under
the rain cover in the other photo.

Jeff Dunlop (First snow of the season today, 12" to 24" probable.)
