No need to sign up. The Discussion Forum is a BBS-like CGI program that
is open to anyone and everyone. I'll keep the postings on the site
until it gets too huge for anyone to deal with.

They are nice. All the growers I know sell them as rhizome pieces in
the autumn planting season, around August and sometimes into September.
I put in a dozen more or so this fall and they grew at least a foot
before cold weather set in. I still plan to give them a protective
mulch, but the ground has not frozen yet. Maybe tomorrow morning;
NAH! It's Christmas Day!!!!

Graeme Grosvenor in "Iris, Flower of the Rainbow" says he doesn't
like spurias growing in combination with siberians. He doesn't give
his reasons clearly; too much vertical spiky greenery no doubt.
Any other opinions?
