Mike, I am in the low foothills(off Highway 50) 25 miles east of
Sacramento. Debbie is about 1000 feet or so higher in the foothills (off
80). I am on top of a hill so have less problems with freezing that Debbie.
I have had good luck with late fall transplanting. I do have some losses but
nothing that I consider unacceptable.
