Lady Bug

From: "Edmundas Kondratas" <stogutis@kaunas.omnitel.net>

Hello all,
I use this tranquility in the SIBROB to tell you one very nice episode with Lady Bug. For my Birthday, my 8 year old granddaughter Barbara have drawn little picture with iris and Lady Bug by side. I asked why she used Lady Bug not other insect. She told, that before some days after her mother have opened window one Lady Bug appeared in the room. She was of great vitality and placed in jar looked very satisfied with green leave and a drop of soup which was placed for her. So she established to live as a member of family, sleep in it's glass house when it like and fly around the rooms with great interest  on new things especialy food such as apple or mandarine.
Before some time there was on the SIBROB talk about Lady Bugs and maybe I have written that here in Lithuania these insects are loved by most people and they are under the wardship in our country. We have not to many of them. It is called here Little God cow, I don't know why, maybe that they milk aphides. It is very popular personage of Lithuanian songs, poems, popular fairy-tales, etc.
Yeasterday I was satisfied by having parcel of ordered seeds from British Iris Society. There is time to saw new seeds and replant from containers to pots seedlings which were to small for last year lining out.
There is nothing heared from SIGNA seed exchange yet.
Good luck for all.
