Re: [Re: Uber den Volken]

Hi everyone: I think I can shed some light on Uber den Volken, or perhaps
muddy the waters!!

Usually Tomas registers his irises with AIS, but has not always introduced
them in this country. UDV was a guest at the '93 Siberian Convention, but was
supplied by Julius Wadekamper, not Tomas. When it bloomed at the convention it
turned out to be Zweites Hundert a Tamberg tetraploid introduced in Germany in
1983 and registered in the US in 1984. This did not make Tomas very happy!

We have had UDV a couple of times and lost it. It has not been a strong grower
for us. It is a very beautiful, clear mid blue and in form nothing like ZH.
Cheers Judy H.
