Hi Bill & Robert,

Bill do you think that the flowers on CA last longer than others?

In regards to this wonderful cultivar you may be interested to hear this
Robert. Coronation Anthem bloomed nicely at its usual time last spring. Then
about a good 3-4 weeks later a number of Siberians started to push up
another set of bloom stalks. I have had Welcome Return bloom like that but
never so many other Sibs.

CA was incredible, it produced more bloom stalks on the rebloom than the
first bloom and was easily the best rebloom I have ever seen on any Siberian
cultivar. It was absolutely covered and most stunning. I wondered if this
was a chance thing, right conditions, maybe it got fertilized with bear
droppings or something ;)!

Has anyone had a massive rebloom? This happened on a whole 15 foot
established row of CA. The plants appeared healthy for the rest of season
and did not show any signs of bloom-out. I had bloomout on Lucky Lilac the
previous year but it did just barely make it back from a few side shoots. LL
most of the main crown died after extensive rebloom.

Regardless, I enjoyed this second set of blooms immensely, the only
disappointment being that hardly anyone else was able to share the
experience. I have been too cheap to buy a good camera, either digital or a
good slr to take slides with so I failed to capture the moment :(.

I have been looking at second hand refurbished slrs. Does anyone have
suggestions on brands, types, semis, autos? Did not realize macro lens were
so expensive! Over $500 Can. for a used lens...
