One very important detail about cameras that I forgot it that it should be a
35 mm SLR (single lens reflex). For flowers, full manual cameras are fine.
If you want to use the camera for candid people type shots also, full auto
is a tremendous advantage. All the full auto 35 mm SLR cameras I have seen
allow you to manually control any or all of the variables (aperture, shutter
speed and focus).
