The presentation by Bill Maryott was specifically about TBs and TBs may not
have the aegerum effect or as strongly. It also helps if you can photograph
while the sun is not up or on a properly cloudy day. If all else fails a
translucent screen can be useful if you have a second person to hold it or
an diffused light studio type setup.
I suspect that the diffused light would be an advantage with either film or
digital. It even has a significant effect on the human eye.
