For those with grander illusions, like me, I'm about to buy two septic tanks
(with manufacturing defects, bottom halves, actually) for the cost of
delivery, and dig them in the 3' or so they require, fill them with a good
mix and leave a nice 4" edge to keep the wiregrass out, another problem.
Sure is tough growing some iris in beach sand! If it works, I'll have two 4'
x 8' beds to keep the wet ones happy. No other way to keep water (or
nutrients) in the soil here for long.  I have a 1/2 acre pond in which the
water level moves as much as 4' vertically season-to-season. I'm considering
floating iris barges for that problem. ;-().
