I'm not an expert but I do think there are dwarf Setosas which are
not hookerii/Canadensis. A few years ago I got seed via SIGNA of a very
nice blue 10" setosa. The seed was from Jean Witt. This setosa has good
branching, with wide foliage which made a neat dome-like mound. I think
Hookerii is supposed to be unbranched. (I put some seed from this Setosa
in the '01 SIGNA exchange).
Given the present state of dwarf Sberians, a person who wants a
dwarf beardless iris ought to consider short Setosas & Versicolors.
