Cal-sibs?

I don't grow Cal-sibs. I did not have luck with LR's sino-sibs, but her JI's do great here. This is an aside. Thepoint I really wanted to make is that when I really want to grow a out-of-range species and I don't succeed having read everything I can find, talked to everyone I know who might help, I grow as many seedlings as I can-SIGNA,BIS,or commercial. Once I get them going, I transplant them into varied microclimates and see howthey thrive. If I cannot grow it acid, neutral or limey: bogbed, raised bed, sunken bed, rockgarden;woodland, edgeof wood, fullsun, E,W,N,or S exposure, I say "SO be it"-atleast for a time.
Once you find what works for you, you feel better about buying cultivars and the variability of seeds is great fun, too.
