cal-sibes & sino-sibes

Here in zone 6b southern Connecticut I've had mixed luck with
Sino-sibes, mostly bad. The few that have grown have been in very wet
spots. The cal-sibes have been happier in dry shade, to my shock. I
did move Golden Waves, or part of it, to a slightly sunnier dry spot and
it seems to have taken even in a drought year. Sometimes they all just
have minds of their own -- or I'm a less than perfect judge of
conditions....d'ya s'pose?
