Re: SIGNA seeds

Marty and Jan,

I swear I renewed with SIGNA in 2002. (never followed through to check) I did
renew for '03. Alas no SIGNA seedlist! So will still ask if you have any
siberian species, tripetalae species, or versicolor/virginica/shrevei species
material left? If you need to spend major time in the response just tell me
to wait for next year.

I have really been turned on by the possibilites of
versicolor/virginica/shrevei. Where ever I travel I search for unique
material. In Park Rapids, MN. I collected seed and a portion of a great huge
versicolor (or shrevei). In Blaine, the next suburb north of me I collected
seed from a highly, sweetly fragrant shrevei growing in a ditch across from a
recycling center.

I am trying to convince my buddy Jack Worel we need to take a couple days off
during the work week in June and cruise for material. We never seem to find
the time in bloom season! We need to construct a network of interested
seekers willing to search MN, WI and IA. for great material.

Together Jack and I have begun a breeding program centered around Versijack,
Jack's recent intro. We should see some seedlings this year. Our goal is to
have some unique cultivars for the National Sib/Spec convention here in '09.

Hope you have some snowfall! We lack cover this year.
