Our white cristata is taller and much more vigourus than our blue clones.  
The foliage is wider and taller and the blossoms are larger.  They grow side by 
side in the same soil under a weeping larch.  I. lacustris is also in this 
same setting and I can only tell the two apart when the lacustris starts to bloom 
about 5 days before the cristata.  For color, we find the clone BLUE GEM from 
Schafer/Sacks to be very superior.
