Hello All,
I am in the process of building a new beardless bed, primarily for Sibs
but also versicolor, setosa, and perhaps a few JI and pseudX. My soil
is very clayey and slightly acidic. I typically add large amounts of
gypsum when creating new bearded beds to try to chemically break up the
clay, but I have no idea how beardless irises might react to gypsum.
Does anyone know if gypsum is good, bad, or neutral where beardless
irises are concerned?
I know I have to keep lime away from the beardless.
Thank you for any guidance anyone may be able to provide.
