Hi Christy; Yes I know of the exact picture of CARMEN JEANNE (Helsey 1996)
which you write. That particular picture also moved me to seek out this
cultivar and obtain it for myself last year.
Well I have it growing here now and it is in bloom outside the window right
now. Unfortunately it is NOT with the dramatic dark almost black looking
falls as the photos would perhaps lead you to believe... in real life it is
more of a deep royal purple color on the falls but it does have the blue
styles. I have a digital photo of it and will send you a copy privately (so
as not to jam up the list). Anyone else that wants to photo sent to them
contact me privately to request.
