Re:Japanese Iris Robin/help!

Please let me know if a JI Robin takes flight. I'd love to hear more about 
this species.

Also, I'm becoming desperate to find detailed information on what a section 
of the falls on JIs look like. A trip to Spokane's Japanese Gardens got me 
only a lecture on why JIs won't fit in to their design. Online images and 
books don't show the area I need to see.

I've been trying to find out exactly what the area of the falls from the 
signal to where it connects to the rest of the bloom looks like, especially 
what markings there are. If anyone has any JIs in bloom and wouldn't mind 
sharing detailed images or scans, I'd sure appreciate it.
